FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Minutes for the meeting of November 14, 2007Written by Grace Green, Club SecretaryPresident Ray Borgis called the meeting to order at 7:00PM, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. We had six members in attendance. The treasurers report was given by the President. We have $2356.17 in the bank. New business opened with the discussion of whether or not we will have a Christmas party. The consensus of those present was "No". A request for nominations and/or volunteers for the office of President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer. With no officers, there can be no Club, so a motion was made by George Hertling that the Sebastian Computer Club be disbanded, the motion was seconded by Ray Borgis. According to the by-laws of our club, the monies must be donated to an organization that promotes the advancement of computer knowledge and must be located in Indian River County, Florida A motion was made by Ray Borgis, seconded by Russ McConnell that the remaining treasury be donated to the Friends of the Library of the North Indian River county Library in Sebastian, with special instructions that it be used for computer hardware, software and computer education. All members present voted in favor of disbanding the Sebastian Computer Club and donating the remaining treasury money to the Friends of the Library. The laptop was also donated to the Library. They were Ray Borgis, President; Everett Pearsail, Vice President; Grace Green, Secretary; George Hertling, past President; and Russell McConnell, Chair person of Library Volunteers.
